Description

Spent several weeks in June working on the Veil in Cygnus. This image Iam posting comes from a Bortle 4-5 site in Southern Idaho. The Veil is definitely one of the finer objects in the Summer sky. Because of its large size, it can be imaged with a 200mm or longer lens fairly easily. The trick is to be able to work in an area with a zillion stars as the background. I used my CLS clip-in filter to help soften the background. And I stopped down to f/4 on my 2.8 Canon lens to help sharpen the starfield.
