Description

A miracle! It cleared up on Janurary 20th with no clouds crossing. Transparency wasn't bad but the air was quite turbulent, though.

Even after several collimation attempts achieving nicely concentric rings on a defocused star
the images are still smeared on one side using two cameras in that the cause is likely the telescope. Perhaps I got the wrong Bob's Knobs 🥴, but on the other hand, they firmly attach the secondary mirror which I confirmed is clean. Actually, you only need to gently tighten all three knobs, then loosen one and collimate using only the other two knobs in tiny intervals. The air is still too turbulent for an airy disk collimation.

Anyway, I abused the cloud-less sky for shooting a few pictures with an IMX178 camera (this upload) and an IMX290 camera (next upload) each. The SW libration, -6.6° in latitude and -5.3° in longitude was in favor.

All lunar images in mono8, 10-bit ADC, not drizzled.
