This image along with the image of the
Helix Nebula represent a lot of "firsts" for me:
- First time capturing a DSO using capture software
- First time time using a "planetary" camera to capture a DSO
- First time using the Smart Histogram feature of SharpCap
- First time using an off-axis guider
I wasn't sure what to expect of the results. Especially with such short exposure times. Final stack consists of best 50% of frames by quality. Exposure settings are determined based on sensor analysis data and sky brightness at the time of imaging, evaluated using the Smart Histogram feature available in SharpCap Pro.
Considering this a test of my new imaging setup and workflow.
