Description

One of the first targets with my new 'return to Astro' rig, that's small, light and easy to bring in and out.

After seeing Cuiv's video showing the promise of the QHY5III715C  camera, I thought I might as well get one, good price too!

Some quick testing showed that 30 second subs are the sweet spot, good tight stars still, better SNR and more importantly, a lot fewer subs than with 10sec ones.

I really marvelled as the subs emerged, what a dense region of galaxies! I can see why the larger scopes can become addictive. Yes I feel I could go deeper, but I also just want to keep exploring!

So ill be using this great little rig for awhile, even after graduating to bigger scopes, as it has a nice field of view. The tiny, yet sensitive pixels make it quite versatile

Description: Did a full plate solve, then manually erased all the 'false' labels that refer to galaxies that aren't visible in this image- still dozens,!
