Description

I have been wanting to redo this target for a while, having sort of missed an earlier window when it was in the east along with the rest of my favorite area, Cygnus. I don't like to shoot across the Meridian, preferring to target objects while they are on one side or the other; yeah, a quirk for sure. Now if I wait until this nebula has transited into the western side of the Meridian I can collect some data. So this is Sharpless 2-101, the Tulip Nebula, with 3 hours of Ha data.

capture:
[18] guided 600s Ha subs
total integration: 3 hours
William Optics FLT 132 APO w/ William Optics Flat 7A [reduces native f/6.9 to f/5.6]
ASI 533MM
Baader 3.5nm Ha filter
ZWO EFW
MicroTouch focus motor/control
Paramount MX+

guiding:
William Optics RedCat f/4.9 Petzval Astrograph
ASI 290M Mini
