Description

SH2-188, The dolphin Nebula, lies approximately 711LY away in the constellation Casseopeia. I originally was going to image this using an HOO palette as I usually do with planetary nebula. However, after taking a quick test shot using SII filter there was a lot of good data. After deciding to use SII because of the rich signal I combined into a more dynamic narrow band combination to ensure the SII would stand out. This combination in my eyes bring out some really good detail within the nebulae. There is some smooth fluid structures on the inner "arc" of the gas. This detail was really made possible by integrating the SII channel.

Thank for looking
