Description

Always satisfying to manage a quality capture from my home backyard observatory and especially so to have had an unexpected early autumn window of relatively settled weather.  As I was so unsure of the weather that I chose to capture 600s Ha subs thinking its better to have more subs for stacking and noise control given the target is relatively bright.  In the end I had better weather than anticipated and it is another early image from my new-to-me Atik One 9.0 paired with the William Optics 132FLT at F5.6, rendering 1.0" PP which is about the limit of my clear and dark rural skies.

Of particular interest are the isolated globule-like structures visible in the upper half of the image, especially upper left.  Star formation remnants irradiating and creating pockets within the gas clouds?
