Description

An Eagle Nebula in true colors.
M16 indicates the whole nebula, in the center NGC 6611 is a young open cluster composed of about 8000 stars, surrounded by the emission nebula excited by the light emitted from the stars.
I calibrated the exact colors, extracted the stars added luminance from the Ha signal which has more detail, then added the stars again.
The outline of the eagle above is clearly visible, below the pillars of creation with the most obvious pillars I II and III.
Further down the pillar IV and to the left, very obvious and almost horizontal in this image, the pillar V also called "The Spire".
Between the of Pillar II and IV the Herbig-Haro Object HH 216 is visible as a faint bright blob.
