Imaged Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF) on the night of February 13, 2023. In this image the comet shares the field of view with open cluster NGC 1647 in the constellation Taurus. This was my last imaging session with this amazing comet. I learned a lot about imaging and image processing for comets with this one, and am very much looking forward to the next...
Imaged with Astrotech AT60 at F/4.8 (288 mm focal length) using Astrotech ATRF60 field flattener/0.8x reducer, UVIRcut filter, and full spectrum modified Nikon D5300. Total integration time of ~24 minutes from 20 subs at ISO200 x 120 sec.
Pre-processed using Pixinsight's weighted batch pre-processing script (WBPP) to perform calibration, debayering, registration.
