Description

I was curious about guiding options with the little ONTC 6" F/4 as it is very light and has almost no moment arm. I still have a small amount of focuser tilt refinement to do but that can wait. This result in pretty bright skies was from 14.3 hours with all 120sec subs.  4.3 hours were guided (OAG) and the other 10 hours were unguided. I really could not tell the frames apart given local seeing issues in Texas.  I reached the conclusion that unguided is quite viable with this small OTA and also that 120 sec luminance subframes should probably be reduced to 90 sec with the F/3.8 optics. The 120sec RGB subs seem fine. As always thanks so much for looking.
