Description

NGC 7139 is a Planetary Nebula approxiamately 4,300 lightyears away in the Cepheus constellation.  It was discovered on November 5, 1787 by astronomer William Herschel.

NGC 7139 is situated close to the northern celestial pole and, as such, it is visible for most part of the year from the northern hemisphere. Its diameter is 1.4 x 1.2 arcmin with a visual magnitude 13, while the central star has magnitude 18.72 (I was not able to reveal the central star in this short capture)

This image was just a quick look at this intesrting object, and i'll be returning in the future to do a much deeper capture as there is a lot of finer details and structure to be revealed in this target!
