Two clear nights in a row this weekend (a near miracle) afforded the opportunity to continue pursuing some of the southern summer sky's gems. I was eager to get exposure time on M17 with the 127ED since I had largely failed to image it with the 72ED last year.

This image is short (due to the usual necessity of shooting low on the horizon and between large oak trees). The exposure time is as follows, using an ASI1600mm Pro, through the Explore Scientific 127mm APO with an Orion .8x focal reducer/flattener:

Green: 10 x 120s
Blue: 10 x 120s
