Description

Although I've been doing astronomy for 45 years, and have been working in astronomy professionally for nearly 30 of them, I've only recently gotten into astrophotography as of last summer.  That's my way of saying that I'm still a rank amateur at this.      COVID-19 gave me a lot of free time to pursue this aspect of astronomy.

This is my recent shot of M35 and NGC2158.  I shot sequences both with and without my "diffraction spike generator" installed on the telescope, and this one is the former.  I like (some) diffraction spikes in (some) images.  The Moon, nearing last quarter, was up for this entire sequence.  I'm fortunate to have Bortle 2 (3 if the football stadium lights are on; it's Texas after all) skies here.

I'm new to Astrobin, and will likely upgrade my membership if I find this to be a useful forum in which I can learn from others.  Please let me know what you think, and thanks for looking!
