Description

Western veil bula, in HOO color pallete
This Western part of a large super nova remnant shines bright in Hydrogen alpha and Oxygen iii

Captured during 2 nights

Ha: 40x6 minutes
O-iii: 39x 6 minutes
7 hours 54 minutes total

telescope: Skywatcher 150/750 pds
mount: Skywatcher HEQ5
camera: QHY294M
Filters: Baader Ha and Oiii 6,5nm, new CMOS version.

Processing in Pixinsight, I did a HOO pallete and slided the color balance a tiny bit to the blue to make the oxygen a bit bluer then the turquoise color of the standard HOO combination, as most of you poled that as the favourite.

the stars were minimized afterwards with Adam Block's star de-emphasis method, using Starnett++

the image can also be viewed at my website in high resolution. astrokemp.com/nebulae
