Description

NGC6910 - The Inchworm Cluster within the Sadr Region of the constellation Cygnus.

There is so much in this image I simply couldn't pass it up.  The center of the image is NGC 6910 or the Inchworm Cluster.  The inchworm is made up of about a dozen bright stars all in a row, resembling an inchworm.

But that's just the start.  You had to notice that gigantic star in the image.  That's Sadr.  Also known as y Cygni, at the center of Cygnus's cross - the breast of the swan!

This Sadr Region is known as IC 1318, or the Gamma Cygni Nebula (Cygnus Nebula).  A diffuse emission nebula reflecting the radiation from Sadr.  You'll notice some large dark structures. Those are dark nebula or absorption nebula.  They're a interstellar cloud so dense that it obscures the visible light from objects behind it.   Gives it structure to me.
