Description

Mars at sunrise on Sunday 15 Mar 2020 ADST.

Imaged since 5.30 am Canberra time. One of the clearest stacks for this session, seeing peaked as the planet reached maximum elevation in dawn sky. This view was captured with Mars at 67 degrees shortly before 7.30 (with blue sky in the background).

Tongue of Sinus Sabaeus is prominent with Meridiani Planum at the centre. Some finer detail also becomes noticeable on the bright plains immediately to the north. Ice cap covers most of South Polar Region.
