Description

SH2-129 is commonly called the "Flying Bat". It is perhaps best known (at least on Astrobin) as the Hydrogen-alpha emission nebula that envelops OU4, the recently-discovered OIII emission nebula known as the "Squid". Unfortunately for me, the Squid was too faint to adequately capture in the 3 hours I spent trying to imaging it. Rather than add a pretty horrible rendition of the Squid, I've elected to portray the Flying Bat alone here, with RGB stars. I will eventually add the Squid, though it may be a long while before I have enough time at a dark site to do it justice.
