Description

I was "done" imaging for the night, and I saw Orion up in the southern sky. I've never actually imaged it before, and it was only 15 minutes before the meridian. I decided to see what I could do with very limited data. It's a tight crop because I had a satellite trail in my green channel that didn't come out with stacking, and I didn't intend this to be a really good image. It certainly isn't, but I thought it was interesting to see what I could do with 10 each of unguided 10 second exposures of LRGB. My camera started at something like 6 degrees and I didn't want to wait for it to cool, so over the course of the 400 seconds it eventually got down to -20. No calibration frames because I don't have 10 second darks in my library, and I didn't want to take the time to take flats. As I said, this was more of an experiment than anything. Eventually I'll come back and make a proper image with a decent amount of integration time.
