Description

Clear nights were sparse these days and when good conditions set in on a bright moonnight between two fronts that brought precipitation, I went for these two lovely open clusters near the constellation of Cassiopeia.
Both NGC 436 and NGC 457 are located in the Perseus arm of our galaxy and were discovered by Mr. William Herschel in the 18th century while NGC 436 is believed to be approximately four times older than NGC 457.
