Description

Another clear night last night.  Was able to capture both the Whale Galaxy (NGC4631) and the Crowbar Galaxy (NGC4656 & NGC4657).  The FOV of the Vixen worked perfect for this.  I shot 107 x 300" subs and kept 85.  I'm liking my new workflow where I use APP as an initial screening for good/bad subs.  I can see the difference in that rejecting the noisier subs that I visually cannot detect is cleaning up my final images much better.  There is far less work DBE and the rest of the final PI plugins need to do so my initial light plate is clearly much cleaner and much sharper.  I'm sure all of the astrophotography pro's on this sight know that but it's nice to discover things like this yourself.

This is a very interesting pair of galaxies for certain and I like how they framed up together.
