Description

The Tadpoles Nebula is part of a larger HII region in constellation Auriga. This star forming region contains the Flaming Star Nebula (IC 405), the Tadpoles Nebula (IC410) and the Spider Nebula (IC 417).  IC 410 is an emission nebula where the gas structures are lit by the radiation from the NGC 1893 open cluster. The 2 Tadpole-shaped gas structures are pointing to the center of the nebula. This is caused by the stellar winds and radiation pressure from the stars in the NGC 1893.The NGC 1893 open star cluster is about 12,400 light years from the earth and it is about 4 million years old (source = Wikipedia).
