Description

Fireworks is a nice object to image at long focal lengths, presenting a face on spiral.  It's visible visually, though I was only just able to make out _something_ in an 8" dob in a Bortle 3/4 site!

In this rendition I landed on combining the max of R and H-alpha channels after fitting the H-alpha to R.  This allowed the nebula to pop out a bit while keeping the colors of stars and the galaxy balanced.  Another new thing I tried was to stretch with stars using GHS.  Removing stars was a problem, pulling much of the nebula out in color.  By stretching the color image first and then extracting luminance I was able to strike a pretty good balance.
