Description

Snow Moon of February 24, 2004.

Is it just me, or it is challenging processing the moon in LRGB? This is my first LRGB moon and honestly, it is more challenging than I thought. I imaged the moon with an OSC and my newt (celestron Nexstar 130 slt in the past) but this is my first attempt with my refractor (William Optics ZS73). I don't know if it is because it's in LRGB or because it was the full moon, but i was not able to get the mineral colors to pop as much as I wanted, but I am still very happy with the result.

I used sharpcap pro to take videos of 800 frames with each filter, used autostakkert to stack the best 75% of each channel and processed using Pixinsight and Photoshop.
