Description

How many aliens are in this picture?

This image captured from my backyard contains our big spiral galaxy neighbor Andromeda (M31) along with M32 (NGC 221), M110 (NGC 205), and many others in the Principle Galaxies Catalogue (PGC).

NGC 206 is a star forming region within Andromeda and one of the brightest in our local group of galaxies, brighter than any in our own Milky Way. This star cloud contains approximately 300 intensely bright, hot supergiants spanning about 4000 light years in length.
