This was a tough little galaxy to image. What you see here is a stack of 113 broadband sub-frames (5 hrs 39min integration time). Was able to capture the glowing halo and lenticular shape of the galaxy, but had difficulty bringing out details in the dust lane that runs diagonally through this galaxy. You can barely make out two small galaxies (NGC5862 and NGC5870) on the left.

Stars were bright and colorful, with a Full Width Half Mean (FWHM) value of 4.40 pixels, which I used as the PSF in BlurXTerminator to improve deconvolution while still in the linear stage. The ASI294MC camera was rotated roughly 90° CCW. After processing, I zoomed in and cropped the image by roughly 50% - the field of view shown above is 22.2' x 16.5'.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.

Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection.
