Description

After a few days of uninterrupted cloudiness, I get back and photograph the Orion Nebula again, two years after my last time, curious to see the result with an equipment quite different from back then and update my nebulae archive.
Compared to two years ago, I can now track and chase my targets, I own an autoguide system and a better camera with a modded sensor, and I also use a narrowband pro filter. However, I've come with the fact that the Orion nebula requires a different approach than usual, being definitively too bright for long exposures, despite the filter and a couple of stops less with the aperture. I shortened the light frames exposure to 60 seconds and still the heart of the nebula has got saturated at the highlights. I also had to tackle a few issues with guiding, not figuring out why, resulting in discarding several subs.
