***** ENG: another shot from expedition "Namibia 2023". NGC3576 in Sagittarius with double tube technique. Halpha comes from the Nikkor 300 f/2.8 and the ZWO2600M borrowed by a friend, used with Ha filter. Color is from my Canon 6D Baader with 100-400 IS II @ roughly 300 mm. Data "fusion", as always, by the great Edoardo Radice. Better postprocessing and single Ha and RGB images will follow. Please note that this nebula is called the "Statue of Liberty" Nebula. But honestly I can't see it...

SQM 21,8, Bortle 1-2 - This time Tivoli was not able to reach the "usual" 22. Unfortunately, we were close to solar maximum...

***** ITA: dalla missione "Namibia 2023". NGC3576 nel Sagittario, ripresa con la ZWO 2600M (di un amico) e il mio Nikkor 300 f/2,8 in Halfa, mentre la Canon 6D Baader, col 100-400 a 300 mm riprendeva i colori con un campo più largo. La fusione dei dati è del solito bravissimo Edoardo Radice. Il post processing non ci convince ancora molto... magari lo ritoccheremo, e pubblicherò anche le immagini solo Ha e solo RGB. Curiosità: Questa nebulosa è chiamata "statua della libertà". Io onestamente non riesco a vederla...

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
