Description

So 2 days ago I was all set to start working on my first light into mono imaging, to which i had been preparing for about a month now, working on cable management, connections, adapters etc.

Unfortunately i threw my back out getting the apparently "super heavy 5 gram"  usb c cable off the couch and ended up laying on the floor for the next 6.5 hours, so that night was gone... I'm ok nothing serious, but hey a long awaited night was gone.

The next day recovering from my cable lifting incident, I had very limited movements, but I really wanted to get started, so I dragged my 16 year old son, asked him to help me setup.  Him being a dear he agreed. Everything was on the tripod, all that was needed was to take it out on the roof, and connect the power cables polar align and i could take it from there.

Those of you, who have / had teenage children would understand how challenging this was in an of itself, among the hufs, puffs, the rolling eyes, and the continuous "are we done yet"s, I managed to guide him through it. "Thank You Zukks"

So the plan to start shooting the NGC ****, but apparently I didn't update the sequence on nina, and I was left on a starfield that i was testing my focus on. Realizing this too late, I modified the parameters of the sequence and decided to follow the lead of @LittleGhost  who has been dazzling me with her sparkly images of star clusters and @estabrook who boldly ventures into new astroturf all the time.

My first light and first star cluster, I just hope @Uwe Deutermann likes the stars

*edit* ---- The mouse over shows my original image, and the final is after Uwe's recommendations ... and ofc me over doing it

After all what are stars without a little sparkle.
