Bob!Its good to see you are perfectly consistent!

It only become more easy. Buy yourself a AVX plus RASA 8".  ;)

Still believe though, that all the remarks aside of the specialist, the best combo is the one that gives you the most fun. If your in for "learning curve + a photo or two" than the AVX/EdgeHD or AVX/RASA combo is a nice one. A lot of the so called specialists still cant produce proper pictures using long focal length scopes so... Anyway. FUN is the focalpoint here. At least for some. Some people want pictures without any real effort.

Hi,
you don't need additional scope. For nebulae, get the 8' hyperstar version 4, and enjoy unguided images...

for planets, you know what to do.

OK here goes. At present do not own a Scope But for quite a while now have been researching like crazy.  Am a 78 yr. old retiree who always wanted to get into Astronomy.  As regarding AP came across an interesting web site pertaining to using a WEB CAM designed for Astronomy. It seem to make sense to basically take a Movie using a SCT on a Tracking mount. Any thoughts on this.   Edgar42
