I have had an experience with them of 4 out of 5, I ordered a Player One ARES-C from them that had a price of €850 when in Spain it did not go below €1,000, there was a delay of a couple of weeks but it arrived correctly. In my opinion it is a small store with limited funds, in my opinion they are honest and willing but I suppose that sometimes they are overwhelmed financially due to certain circumstances. I would order again being aware that shipping will take longer than expected, but I sincerely believe it would arrive. |

Exactly, they are a good store. I waited more than 12 weeks on my order, a camera from P.O., after that long time I asked my money back and that also took 3 weeks. So saying "if you are not in a hurry" is a bit of an understatement grts Sieg |

From my experience, I loved the prices they do! But, when I made an order from them, the item was not in stock and they have to order it from China. In holidays things took about a month to be sent. I've sent an email to they asking if things where ok and when they could send the items.. They gived me a week, and it took two from that email that I sent. By the end of December, I received the tracking number in my order on the website. He's already in my country but I'm waiting for the guys who took the package to deliver it, since I live in the islands. They take their time, but they deliver it and they have great prices. Since I live in the middle of the north atlantic, I'm used to wait for things. My advice is: gived them a little time. Regards, Cesar |

My 50 cents here. Ordered a camera, SHO filters, filterwheel and focuser, so quite an amount of money involved. Sending the gear took a while and I got a bit worried. Mailed them a few times to get more information. Sometimes got a response per mail, sometimes not. Then they called me to inform me properly. This was really reassuring. They explained that due to Chinese new year things were delayed. After explaining, we had a really nice chat where they explained that astrophotography was their hobby as well and that they were very pleased to help out if I needed help in any way. Next day, my order shipped. SO indeed: it may take a while after you ordered. But I have the feeling your order is in good hands and that the guys from astro-art store are just as passionate about the hobby as we are, and they are trying their best. I ordered an HAE 29 + stuff from there that was on backorder with 7-18 days. After 2 Months still no delivery so i cancelled the order. Now after 6 Weeks still didn't get my 2.500€ back. But some weired transfere of 55€ or so... The phonenumber +358442778923 is never beeing answered. Another one "supports" through whatsapp but still the dude didnt have a solution... I also ordered things that were not on backorder. No problem with these orders. Fast shipping and so on. But pray that you never have any hickup or need to make a return...

With all the topics about problems with merchants, I thought I'd share this. I don't know what it is like in EU, but in the US, you have the option of filing a chargeback with the credit card company for goods not delivered, or not as described. It is important not to abuse this, as the merchant gets charged a processing fee regardless of if the case is decided in your favor or not. None the less, if you have made a good faith effort to resolve the issue with the merchant and have documentation of the purchase and your interactions with the merchant, chargeback can be a very powerful tool to get your money back. I have found Amex to be much more consumer friendly than other cards in this regard, so I almost invariably use that card when I feel there is a risk with a purchase. Over the years, I have filed chargebacks against two merchants and in both cases, got my money back. |

I also ordered from Astroart-Store. Back in mid-May, the price for an Optolong filter was about 100 Euros less than the next cheapest seller. The delivery time was listed as 3 to 18 days. As of today, I still haven't received my order. They now claim it will arrive at the end of July – which means the delivery time will be more than three times the maximum they initially promised. Very frustrating. Pro tip: Try using Astroart-Store's price to get a price match elsewhere. I had the chance to get a decent discount via astroshop.de but didn’t take advantage of it because I was to greedy as they matched the price just almost … |

Astro Art Store lost my order and are constantly promising to return my money, but never do. They say they're having problems because of "summer vacations". I don't believe it and they have stopped answering me. This is the second and last time I ever do business with them and I cannot more highly recommend you stay away. I personally think they're going under. I have sent them a legal challenge for the money. |

Hi Nooa, sorry to hear that! Two things: first id like to motivate you to open a case at your branch of the european counsumer center (ECC)., if you are in the EU! The more complaints tehy get the more impact it has! Second, Credit card institutes will help you get your money back if you can show them that you are right. Even Banks can! My bank is currently investigating to get back my money as well es the ECC in Finnland has taken my case and is investigating it. Cheers, Robert |

I have read the comments written here and wondered if we are talking about the same company? Of course, I believe that some have had worse experiences, but my experience with over ten orders has been almost exclusively excellent. I know the background of the company, and it is a small business that started as a hobby, with members who have a background in astrophotography. I have always received expert and tailored service from them whenever I needed it. I have also ordered from several other companies across Europe and have not received the same level of service elsewhere. It is true that sometimes order deliveries have taken longer. They don't have a large inventory like the bigger European companies, so the products are not always ready for shipment. For some reason, they list an estimated delivery time of 3-18 days for all order items, which is somewhat misleading as sometimes the delivery times have been significantly longer. However, I often received information about the actual delivery time when I inquired. Once, due to an availability issue with a product, I canceled an order and got my money back fairly quickly. I don't believe the company is having financial issues or anything like that. Two days ago, I contacted them about problems with the hand controller for a mount I purchased from them two years ago, and a new controller was already on its way. They fulfill their warranty obligations beyond the minimum, and I will continue to place large orders with them in the future, as I can trust that they won't leave me in a lurch if problems arise. I also ordered a custom-made adapter for a column mount from them, and the product arrived with perfect dimensions. But experiences can vary; mine have been almost exclusively good or excellent. |

Again I want to share my disappointing experience with an online order at this store. I placed an order for a filter back in mid-May, but I still haven't received it. Earlier this week, I reached out to customer service for an update, but I haven't received any response so far. Might open a case with PayPal and/or involve a lawyer. To be fair, the items in my order that were marked as in stock were shipped promptly. However, the significant delay for the filter and the lack of communication is really frustrating. This has been my worst online shopping experience to date. Most of the feedback here is negative, I would vote for placing your orders at one of the larger shops like astroshop.de. |

Stefan Molz: You said they were proptly shipped. The items on your list.. Did you never received in your email of the shipping info the tracking number? The only time that I bought with the Store, they took about a month (I had to wait because the article was in backorder and it was christmas), but they sent me an email saying it was shipped and the tracking number was there. and also with me they still owe me 2.500€ i think the big difference is money. when something is in stock, yes they ship quickly and apperantly the also good at helping or waranty but when it is about returning large amounts of money the swap their face... since march! 2.500! constantly just saying banking issues but still operate selling things... now i am in several legal persuits to get my money back... im glad you didn't have that experience but never the less there are several people! I personally found at least 10.000 of funds beeing not paid back to customers... if you have so good relationships maybe ask them about what you read here, and see what they respond ;-) |

I find it funny that people still defend their behaviour. This isn't a fad that just recently happened to people on AB. There are multiple threads on various forums, some dating back years. They all say the same things that we read about here. It's also been confirmed that they were (probably still are) struggling financially. Neither do I find their prices very good. Most reputable vendors in Europe will deduct VAT for those who have to pay local VAT on imports, Astroart just adds their VAT to the bottom line. Of course they don't state this, but comparing prices makes this quite evident. There is quite simply no excuse for their horrible customer service, lack of honesty and fraudulent handling of returns/cancellations. One or two good experiences do not make up for all the crap they put many people through. |

If you were referring to my previous message, I am not defending anyone, but rather honestly sharing my own experiences - with over ten orders.
