Hello. My name is Gwen I live in Scotland and I am a full time wheelchair user.
I love astronomy and astrophotography.
I currently have M42 on my spokesguards and they need to be change. I am reaching out as I can not find high resolution for sale only print.
Unfortunately, I need the high Res so it can be printed on special vinyl. Any help on where to go would be gratefully appreciated. PXL_20230215_142543590~2.jpg

You don't say what do you mean by high-resolution for you (in terms of number of pixels in width and height) and what is the subject. Still M42?

Hello,

thank you for your message. I did not put specifics as I thought it would be rude for me to ask. Hence I thought I would be referred to a website or that astrophotographers post their photo to be sold on. For the resolution basically, it has to be big enough to be printed i think around 300DPI but will need to ask again the people doing the vinyl printing.

I had M42 for 10 years so I m trying to find 2 others pics one for each side.
I m leaning towards M20 Trifid, M1 Crab in optical so green turquoise, NGC 2264 xmas, Vela supernova remnant, NGC 3372 Carina ( green blue version), lagoon nebula. Not sure yet as i need to see how they would work on the wheels. As I can't put one of my favourite Barnard 33 as the main part would be cut off.

Thank you once again for your reply.

Some of the favorites collection are huge and should satisfy but look at each one as not all are very high res.

do you have the diameter of the wheels? I suspect you will need something raw but imaged at fairly high resolution (do a search for ASI6200) I suspect many of these wonderful folks would be happy to provide you a raw file for something like this

Gwen,
You are welcome to browse my gallery and let me know if any of my images would work.  If you want one for your chair, PM me with your email address and I’ll send you a high-res file that you can have printed.

Looks like a great place for a face-on spiral galaxy!  Like John said, PM if you are interested in anything I have.

Kevin

hello, thank you so much.
I was thinking at first of a spiral galaxy but I am scared that most of it will be taken off due to the hole in the middle for the pin to remove the wheels.
thank you so so , much will have a look.

Hi,

I don't think you need 300 dpi.  A real 300 dpi photo is very good to see at book-reading distance.  It's kind of hard to imagine people will look at the wheels at such a distance.  Maybe you can lower your requirement to 100 dpi.  This can greatly increase your chance of finding one that you like while having sufficient resolution.

I hope you find the pictures you want.  I am not sure if my pictures suit your need.  But if you find any of my pictures suitable, you may PM me.

@Wei-Hao Wang thank you for your reply. I am kind of really new to this and this was the info from the internet. So the people printing the vinyl advised as below:  " We require an image that is at least 500mm square and the highest quality possible (no file size smaller than 2MB)"
thank you so so much once again, all the help is greatly appreciated.
