Can anyone recommend a good place in getting started with photoshop? I use a stock DSLR, stack in nebulosity, and then go to photoshop to stretch and post-process, and I feel like that last bit is the weak link in my workflow (other than figuring out debayer settings, maybe). Anyone got any good tutorials for getting started? It's galaxy season, so that would be an ideal place to start, but any tutorial would be a good start methinks |

I have some video tutorials on You Tube which many have found useful. Here is a link to my webpage which has links to them all. https://sites.google.com/site/caroleastroimaging/home/video-tutorials A lot of them are to do with combining data from a mono camera, but general processing applies to most of them. Also, look at Trevor Jones’ website, Astrobackyard. He seems to do a lot of Photoshop processing. When I just went to copy the link to his site, it looks like his newest article is indeed a Photoshop processing tutorial. https://astrobackyard.com/selective-color-boosting/ There’s a lot of older processing posts there too, so it is worth looking through his content. |
