Hi, Is anyone connecting their dslr to the asiair pro via the shutter release port? I can’t get it to work and the asiair pro can’t be set to guide because it says their is no main camera. Any suggestions? Might be time for a Astro camera upgrade. |

You connect with the Canon's USB cable. Asiair controls the camera completely, up to the point of choosing ISO and downloading images locally. You can't do all that over the shutter release port, it is just a glorified switch for the shutter Also I don't think you can guide with a DSLR. It is only for imaging. When guiding you need two cameras: imaging (can be DSLR) and guiding (can be webcam but realistically must be astrocam which with asiair means a small mono ASI such as the 120 or the 178) |

Thanks! yes, I have a dedicated guide scope and camera. Does this mean I can use the live stack feature with the dslr? I thought that may only work with ZWO cameras. |
