How would you describe in few words/sentences what we do, when we make/produce an astro-image from raw frames to the final astronomical image?
Some call it image manipulation?
What are the right words to use, that best descibe what we all do in that process?

Der vel ingen der rigtig ved hvad der er rigtig eller forkert, hvem siger at Hobbel paletten er korrekt (altså farvemæssigt) så det er i bund og grund op til den enkelte at gøre hvad man syntes rigtigt!!

Data reduction and integration is the scientific part for which you can use the word development, reminiscent of the film era. For the rest of the process you can use the term post-processing.
