Hi All, Last night was the first time that I was able to try out the automatic meridian flip feature on the ASIAIR. Everything went as planned, except I was not able to restart the imaging session. My setup is as follows: ASIAIR Pro WO SpaceCat51 ASIAIR183MC Pro OSC camera Sky Watcher HEQ-5 Pro mount Samsung phone with Android controlling ASIAIR 30mm guide scope with ASIAIR120MM-Mini camera The shooting paused prior to the meridian flip, the mount flipped, plate solved to verify that the target was re-centered, and guiding restarted. However, shooting never restarted. The yellow status indicator and the bottom right of the screen indicated "idle". I tried hitting the pause/play button a few times but that didn't work. Then I tried deleting the Autorun session and creating a new one, but that didn't work either. Finally, I cycled the power on the ASIAIR and that allowed me to resume capturing my light frames. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Appreciate any insights. Thanks. Jim |

Jim I have not experienced this problem but I have found most Air issues involve power. Are you powering your camera separately or with the Air? I’m using an asi 2600 camera that definitely requires dedicated separate power source. Randy |

Hi Randy, I am powering the camera separately with a Jackery Power Station Explorer 300 (which works great). I don't use any of the power ports on the ASIAIR. Jim |

Jim, the only time I had that happen was when my guiding never stabilized. Try setting it to recalibrate guiding after the flip and set the Guiding timeout to 120 secs. My first ASIAIR pro came set at 10000 seconds by default. I was waiting forever for the imaging to start. 😂. Clear Skies, Brian |

Hey Brian, I am imaging the Elephant Trunk nebula right now and the meridian flip is coming in about an hour. I've set it to "recalibrate guiding", but I can't find the Guiding timeout. Which tab is it under? Thanks, Jim |

Hey Brian, I believe you tap the guide camera icon on top then there’s another tab for guide settings. It should be in there. Sorry I just read your post. brian |

This is happening to me as well. I found that by accessing the plan folder and the going back to the main screen that the shoot starts and I have to do this everytime a new image is loaded to the screen. It will say Idel until I repeat going to the folder and back to the main screen then the shoot begings the count down. Must be a bug they need to fix. |
