| Yes, that is true for all reflector scopes. But if you want to put any sort of lense (like a reducer or something else) into the pathway of the light, i would recommend an IR/UV-cut filter. |

Might it be that a flattener does not bend the light that much and therefore could be used without UV/IR cut filter? Also, I see from specifications that the mirrors really do not reflect much at lower NIR wavelengths. |
