      Description

Here is the Auriga constellation! As with all mosaics this was a pain to process, as my QHY600 started getting some severe USB traffic banding. The canon banding reduction script really helped out. This is an 8 panel narrowband mosaic with about 82hrs of exposures in SHO. I kept the spaghetti in HOO for taste. There are a number of other weird SNR in this image I have never seen before, and with help from Marcel Drechsler identified as G178.2-04.2 (the faint SNR bubble by Elnath). The other being the nice blue nebula cut off at the bottom right which is G179.0+02.6. This image is the second image ever to provide optical proof for the first SNR by Elnath, the first to produce proof being the MDW team.

I hope you all enjoy this image!
