Description

Here is my attempt to capture the Heart Nebula with a One -Shot Color ASI2400 ZWO camera.  This was imaged early one morning after completing another project.  I didn't have high hopes as I was able to capture only 3 hours of data, not enough to get all the details this faint  target has to offer.  However, what I captured came out nicely, especially after applying the Morphological Transformation process to reduce and clean up the star field which I felt blocked out and obscured the nebula.  Thanks to Wikipedia, I've learned that this is an emission nebula about 7500 light years distant.  It's primarily composed of ionized hydrogen which brings out the darker dust lanes.  This is probably a better target for NB imaging and I plan to experiment with this in the future.  Thanks for viewing and please feel free to offer constructive criticism or comments.
