Description

I used a Stellina to capture 4,666 fits lights (3905 RGGB and 761 BGGR) over three nights: 2023-05-20, 22, 23. I converted the 761 BGGR lights to RGGB using WinBayerConvert. I downselected from 4,666 lights to 900 lights based on Astro Pixel Processor analyses, retaining only the subs that were >0.7 in quality and star shape. I used Astro Pixel Processor to stack the 900 lights with 300 RGGB darks I collected over the same three nights. I used all 300 darks because the temperature had varied from 46.9-65.1 degrees Fahrenheit - I didn't want to take any chances because I knew the APP steps would take days to complete. I edited the unstretched APP stack fits file using PixInsight. I cropped the result and edited it in PI and Photoshop. I didn't mask any part of the image during editing because I wanted to retain the relative brightness for the PixInsight 3D Plot (not that it has any scientific value.) I used PI ImageSolver to plate solve the image and used PI to create the annotated image and finding chart. (I was concerned when I saw that the stacked image had a green cast in APP, but when I opened the unstretched fits file in PI and STF autostretched it, the green cast was gone.)
