Description

This is a two panel mosaic image. It shows a wide field of the region around LBN 10, 11, 15, 18,  and  19.  These LBN objects are  level 5 and 6 (faint) on the Lynds brightness scale. Also in this image is LDN 134 (also MBM 36), LDN 169, LDN 183 (also MBM 37). There are multiple other dark structures in this field with a significant number from the TGU and PGCC catalogs.  Also, there are a surprising number of background galaxies and quasars (or candidates) in this field along with the interstellar matter. Many of these are small and can only be seen inn the full size image. The furthest quasar visible in this image is SDSS J155315.30-023228.0 -  it has a redshift of 3.470 and a light travel time of 11.87 billion years (lookback). These objects and some of the brighter stars are identified in the annotated image.
