Description

While visiting my wife's family out in Western Kansas for the fair, I left for the lake after everyone else retired for the night. I parked and found a much larger beach then I had expected. In short fashion, I set up the T5I on the star adventurer and immediately low and high clouds rolled in right over the Milky Way. As luck would have it, they did break off and on. Over 1.5 hours I captures 30 usable 60s subs. I did very much enjoy laying on the beach with my camera bag as pillow watching the Milky Way, 25 or so meteors, and seeing the Andromeda Galaxy rise into the sky.

It's been almost 3 years since I last shot a galaxy scape and it showed. I could not find the video I used last time and piecemealed my attempt in Photoshop. I am hopeful to try some more wide angle projects in Orion and next Milk Way season.
