Description

I have been looking for shooting the cloud of Rho Ophiuchi for a long time : all those nice colors in the multiple emission and reflection nebulas...

Unfortunately, it is very low on horizon and my access to the Southern skies is limited to summer, where the nebula rise very early (17h00) and set very early too (0h30), without reaching more than 15-20 degrees over the horizon line.

I wasn't expecting much with such conditions : and indeed, with the only 3h30 I could catch in 2 nights (not enough clear nights to do more), I got lots of noise and awful gradients though the streetlights are off during the night in that city far from other big cities.

Anyway, I seize this opportunity to hide these imperfections through a nice composition with the lights from the lighthouse "les Poulains" just over the Ocean, and mix a day picture behind it to put that in context.
