First time going after this faint nebula, Sharpless 2-303 located in Canis Major - finally getting around to processing subs from mid Feb and January 2021. This object warrants having much more signal captured so will revisit when weather permits.

With my OSC/RGB camera and only UV/IR filter, basically captured nothing of the nebula. Adding the Ha filter, captured good signal and with the UHC filter at longer exposure both Ha and O3 signals. This image is a combination of Ha and UHC filter signal.

A challenging process to get the signal out and visible without overexposing the background and stars.

Not a lot of information around in the internet regarding this Sharpless object and only a few captures on astrobin together with the Dolphin Nebula (SH-308).

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
