Description

Messier 100 is a spiral galaxy sometimes called  the Blow Dryer Galaxy and is a grand design spiral galaxy located in the Virgo Cluster. M100 lies in the constellation Coma Berenices. The galaxy lies at an approximate distance of 55 million light years from Earth and has an apparent magnitude of 10.1.

I plan on getting out an SCT as galaxy season is in full swing but was curious to see if my 840 mm refractor could tease out any detail. Colors are bland but I like this image nonetheless. I suppose with different processing it could look better.
