Description

The Crab Nebula, my first remote telescope image processed.   I thought I'd give it a try since we've had nothing but clouds or below zero temperatures in Vermont for months now, and I'm too old to battle that weather.
This was Taken in Spain, with their SPA-2 Telescope by Telescope-Live team.
The Crab is one of the most famous super nova remnants and the first Messier object on Messier's list.    It's both a super nova remnant and pulsar wind nebula in the constellation of Taurus.      The center of M1 contains the Crab Pulsar, a neutron star 20 miles across with a spin of 30 times per second and emits radiation from gamma to radio waves.    A great object for longer focal length telescopes.    The SPA-2 telescope is a 28" RC with a 5300 mm focal length.   This is only 3 hours of exposure and presented in false color OHS.
