Description

The comet was last seen near earth 50,000 years ago. Discovered by The Zwicky Transient Facility (ZTF). ZTF is a wide-field sky astronomical survey  using a new camera attached to the Samuel Oschin Telescope at the Palomar Observatory in California
The comet has a bright green glow around its nucleus, due to the effect of sunlight on diatomic carbon and cyanogen. The comet nucleus was estimated to be about a kilometer in size, rotating every 8.7 hours.
