Description

Hi all,

This is our come back in astrophotography, stopped for some months due to a new setup.
The image result the first light of our new RASA 8", with our new CEM70 NUC mount, and with our first usage of N.I.N.A.
So, everything was new in the acquisition!

As we like challenges, we wanted to test the new equipment on this nothernmost sharpless object, Sh2-174 which is faint.
Indeed the object is faint, especially the Ha jets located at the top of the nebula.

The image is a little cropped, due to a small rotation with the proximity of Polaris, and also for some tilt we still need to (try to) fix.
Unfortunately the stars was planned to be imaged with small subs in RVB, but we missed the opportunity to do it. The resulted stars are then made with 300" subs at f/2 and it was not easy to manage them correctly.

The session started also with a full moon, with the 2 first nights in Ha and the 2 last nights in Oiii (23/24/25/26 of March 2022).

Hope you like it,

Renaud & Olivier
