Description

This target, known as the Tarantula Nebula or more specifically NGC 2070, is the most active star forming region we know of, and the second largest ever found. Not only that, this nebula is in an entirely different galaxy and it is still insanely luminous. It is so bright, that if it were placed at the same distance as the Orion Nebula, it would be casting shadows at night time! While it is a prominent star forming region, it is also a prominent graveyard for stars as this area contains the closest supernova ever observed by scientists.

A very great target to continue the great success in the southern hemisphere. Looking forward to more amazing images!
