Description

I stumbled onto this star while attempting to figure out how to image the running chicken @ 2900FL mm. I was happily surprised by this area around Lambda Centauri instead. At only 490 lightyears away, it feels like a neighbor compared to some of the usual targets. It's so close that the distance can be measured using stellar parallax (measuring the apparent shift in position of this near star to it's background stars as the earth moves around the sun) It's a B-type giant star, giving it the strong blue-white hue.

The dataset was a little more limited than I'd like, but I felt it was worth processing. (and maybe add to it next year)
