Description

The first picture I uploaded on Astrobin was the Iris nebula taken with my stock Canon 7D ... i was really pleased with it at the time

The good news is i think this is better ! BUT

I captured a lot of data (for me ) at 11 hours over four nights and was looking forward to processing. When I got going i noticed horrible gradients particularly on the lume and red filters , i think this is caused by local light pollution ie street light but might be wrong

Anyway the usual tools I use in photoshop to get rid of gradients were producing strange results i think because gradient was so strong so had to take a DIY approach using blurring to get a gradient map and then subtracting - i think i have lost some contrast in the process , also stars aren't brilliant and colour calibration was difficult and not best result

other than that its ok !

Lume 660 x 30s

Red 240 x 30s

Green 200 x 30s

Blue 220 x 30s

Equals 11hrs
